Technical SEO audit and internal link map
A technical SEO audit with a clear owner for each fix.
Klusio checks your website for technical issues, canonicals, speed and indexing. The action list separates work it can carry out in its own articles from changes for you or your web developer. The internal link map shows pages that could benefit from better connections.
- Website checks
- A weekly crawl and an action list with responsibilities.
- Page speed
- Core Web Vitals from real visits, alongside a lab test.
- Indexing and canonicals
- What Google selected and where pages or links fail.
- Internal link map
- How your pages connect and where an additional link may help.
Check the website every seven days
The scheduled crawl runs at night, follows internal links to a depth of eight clicks and covers up to 1,000 pages. After making changes you can start a manual scan of up to 500 pages.
- Page-level checks
- Status codes, redirects, titles, descriptions, headings, canonicals, images, language references and content.
- Track changes
- A score from 0 to 100 and issue groups show what is new or resolved. Issue groups can be exported as CSV.
- Duplicate content
- Checks identify identical pages and pages of at least 150 words with 90% or greater similarity.
- Internal connections
- See incoming internal links, calculated internal link strength and click depth from the homepage.
Separate automatic repairs from developer work
This repair route is limited to articles Klusio wrote for you. It does not authorise changes to your theme, navigation, service pages or server.
- Repairs in Klusio articles
- Fix or remove broken internal links, add missing image alternative text and supply a missing search description.
- Prioritise affected pages
- New issues take priority, followed by pages with more Search Console clicks over the previous 28 days. Up to ten issues are handled per round.
- Protect manual work
- An article manually changed or locked in WordPress is left alone by this repair route.
- Hand over a work brief
- Share selected work by PDF, email or a link valid for seven or thirty days. The developer does not need a Klusio account. They report completion; you check it. Shared access can be revoked.
Compare real visitor speed with a lab test
Each week, Klusio checks the homepage and up to four pages connected to keywords, on mobile and desktop. Real-user data describes the 75th percentile over 28 days. If there is insufficient page data, the site-wide result is used and labelled.
- Real visits
- Chrome user data shows how visitors experienced loading, interaction and visual stability.
- A controlled lab test
- One page is loaded under fixed conditions to help investigate changes. This is different from real-user history.
- Core Web Vitals thresholds
- The good thresholds are LCP at or below 2.5 seconds, INP at or below 200 milliseconds and CLS at or below 0.1.
- Connect speed to priorities
- A page gaining search visibility but loading slowly on mobile can become an opportunity in the Growth Engine.
Check what Google indexed
Klusio uses Search Console URL Inspection daily, up to 25 pages per website per day. A Google-selected canonical that differs from your declared canonical is shown separately.
- Crawl findings
- Find missing or different canonicals, noindex pages, 404 responses and broken links.
- Redirecting links
- Identify internal links that could point directly to the final destination.
- Redirect responsibilities
- Klusio manages redirects in its supported article routes. Redirects in your own server configuration require your developer.
- Indexing is Google’s decision
- A successful publication or inspection request cannot force Google to index a page.
See how pages support each other
The internal link map uses the most recent complete crawl. It separates navigation and footer links from links inside the content, and shows incoming and outgoing connections for a selected page.
- Internal link strength
- A 0–100 value calculated using PageRank across links in the crawl. It is a Klusio internal metric, not a Google score.
- A focused list of findings
- Up to four prioritised findings can highlight a commercial page with no article links, a visible page with little internal support or a page that is hard to reach.
- Existing proposals
- The page view includes the link proposals already available.
- Follow the change
- Where data is available, compare the 28 days before a placed link with the 28 days afterwards. This comparison alone does not prove causation.
Approve an internal link in context
The proposed anchor must already occur in the article. Klusio links those words without rewriting the sentence. If no suitable phrase exists, a related-reading line is used.
- Your click is approval
- After approval, the link is normally placed within about fifteen minutes and checked live.
- Limits
- At most three new links per article per day and ten per website per day.
- Supported scope
- This route adds links only in articles Klusio wrote, through WordPress, Wix or the Klusio blog. Turning internal links off in your settings prevents placement.
- Review the actual sentence
- The account shows the source sentence and proposed linked words before you approve them.
Example: an action list with clear responsibilities
Fictional bookkeeping firm with 64 pages. These are illustrative counts, not customer results. Every item in the real account includes the reason and implementation steps.
| Issue | Affected scope | Who acts |
|---|---|---|
| Page returns 404 | 1 page; blocking error | You or your developer |
| Canonical points elsewhere | 3 pages | You or your developer |
| Title too long for Google | 12 pages | You or your developer |
| Broken internal link | 2 articles; repaired | Klusio, within its own articles |
| Missing image alternative text | 5 articles; repaired | Klusio, within its own articles |
| Missing search description | 1 article; repaired | Klusio, within its own articles |
Example: changes since the previous crawl
Fictional accountancy firm: score 78, with 142 pages checked. Counts and changes are invented to explain the screen. In your account the source is the Klusio crawl, compared with the previous weekly crawl.
| Issue | Severity | Pages | Since the previous crawl |
|---|---|---|---|
| Page returns 404 | Error | 2 | 1 new |
| Broken internal link | Warning | 4 | 3 resolved |
| Canonical points elsewhere | Warning | 3 | Unchanged |
| Title too long for Google | Warning | 18 | 6 resolved |
| Duplicate search description | Warning | 5 | Unchanged |
| Internal link through a redirect | Notice | 22 | Unchanged |
Example: real-user speed indicators
Fictional recruitment site, /vacatures/ on mobile. These values are illustrative. In the real account, the source is Chrome user data at the 75th percentile over 28 days, shown alongside a separate lab test.
| Metric | Value | Assessment |
|---|---|---|
| LCP: largest content visible | 2.1 seconds | Good |
| INP: response to interaction | 240 milliseconds | Needs improvement |
| CLS: visual stability | 0.04 | Good |
Example: Google chooses a different canonical
For a fictional estate agent, /woning-verkopen/ declares itself as canonical, but Google selects /verkopen/. The account shows the declared and Google-selected addresses separately. Investigate the content, redirects and internal links before changing anything; a declared canonical is not a command Google must follow.
Example: where the internal link map finds opportunities
Fictional bookkeeping website: 64 pages, 1,212 connections and 18 Klusio articles. The figures below are invented. In the real account, crawl links are combined with Search Console impressions and clicks from the last four weeks and your article text.
- Service page without links from articles
- /loonadministratie/ has 412 Google impressions and links from 58 pages, almost all in navigation or the footer. None of the Klusio articles links there within its text. Three other service pages have the same finding.
- Visible page with little internal support
- An article about VAT returns has 1,340 impressions and 22 clicks, an internal link-strength score of 12/100 and links from two pages. These figures suggest a connection to investigate, not proof of lost traffic.
- Pages with no incoming internal links
- Three pages shown in Google have no links from other crawled pages; together they have 96 impressions. Check the pages before choosing a useful link.
- A link in the existing sentence
- A fictional article about hiring an employee already says: “Set up a new employee in your payroll administration in time for the first payment.” The phrase “payroll administration” becomes the link to the service page; the rest of the sentence stays unchanged. The source article has an illustrative internal strength of 58/100 and currently links to the service only through navigation or a separate block.
Who does what?
A finding becomes a specific task, not unrestricted permission to change your website.
| You or your developer | Klusio |
|---|---|
| Repair theme, template and server issues using the instructions | Check the website every seven days and prepare the action list |
| Share a work brief and review the completed work | Repair supported link, alternative-text and description issues in its own articles |
| Approve a suitable internal-link proposal | Place the link in the existing sentence and verify it live |
| Request another scan after a change | Check speed weekly and request Google indexing information daily |
Know when you need a specialist
The recurring audit does not fully render JavaScript applications, inspect server logs or replace a migration or complex multilingual audit. It can miss content rendered only by JavaScript and does not crawl more than 1,000 pages in a scheduled scan. Theme, template, navigation and server changes remain work for someone with the appropriate access.

Illustrative example
Illustrative example: an accountancy site has 64 pages. Several service pages have menu links but no links from article text. The link map proposes an existing sentence about payroll administration as a suitable place to link to the payroll service page. This is an example of the workflow, not a measured customer result.
Questions and answers
How often is my website checked?
The crawl runs every seven days, up to 1,000 pages and eight clicks deep. You can start a manual scan of up to 500 pages. Speed is checked weekly and Google indexing is checked daily within the inspection limit.
Does Klusio repair technical issues itself?
In articles it wrote, this route can repair broken internal links, missing alternative text and missing search descriptions. Theme, server and other page issues are assigned to you or your developer.
What if I do not have a web developer?
Some titles and descriptions can be changed in your CMS. Issues include instructions. Theme and server work requires someone with access; a shared brief does not require them to have a Klusio account.
Does the link map work if Klusio does not write my articles?
It maps the crawled website and can identify missing connections throughout it. This placement route can only edit articles Klusio wrote. Other links are for you or your developer to add.
What does internal link strength mean?
It is a 0–100 value calculated with PageRank over the links in the latest complete crawl. It helps identify pages receiving little support from the rest of your site.
Is this a complete migration audit?
No. Domain moves, server-log analysis and complex multilingual sites require additional specialist work. The crawler does not fully render a JavaScript application like a browser.
