Backlink management
Keep your backlink records useful and up to date.
Bring existing link records out of scattered spreadsheets. Import your list, organise the destinations, check their status and keep the relevant notes together. Klusio’s backlink management is not an automatic package of purchased placements.
From a static spreadsheet to a record you can follow
A link list is only useful if you can find the destination, understand the agreement and check whether the reference is still there. Keep those tasks in the same place.
| Task | A separate spreadsheet | The Klusio workflow |
|---|---|---|
| Collect records | Merge files and keep copies aligned. | Import an existing CSV or Excel list. |
| Check status | Open destinations manually one at a time. | Use link-status checks and inspect findings that need attention. |
| Remember the context | Keep contacts and agreements elsewhere. | Store notes alongside the link record. |
| Present the portfolio | Build a separate presentation. | Choose from four embeddable widget styles. |
Why links deserve attention
Links help people and search engines discover pages and understand relevant connections. They are one part of a wider SEO picture, not a substitute for useful content or a technically accessible website.
A reachable URL is not proof that a link is valuable, followed by Google or compliant with its policies. Investigate relevance and placement. Do not treat bulk link acquisition as a shortcut to a guaranteed ranking.
Six parts of the management workflow
Use the record as a practical source of information about the links you already manage.
- CSV and Excel import
- Bring an existing list into Klusio instead of entering each record separately.
- Status checks
- Check the destination’s HTTP response and investigate broken, redirected or otherwise unexpected results. Availability alone does not establish link quality.
- A central overview
- Keep the domain, backlink URL, destination and status together.
- Portfolio widgets
- Present selected records with one of four widget styles, using the available embed option.
- Notes
- Record the contact, agreement and context needed for later follow-up.
- Record management
- Add, edit and remove records through the available management tools. Any API use still requires the relevant access and permissions.
Start with the records you already have
First import your list and inspect whether the fields and destinations are correct. Then run the available checks and review findings rather than assuming every non-success response means the link is gone. If you need a public portfolio, choose the records and widget style before placing the embed on your website.
Agree outreach and placement work separately
Backlink administration is different from arranging PR or a link-building engagement. Any separately agreed Partner or outreach work needs its own scope, responsibilities and external costs. A publisher decides whether to place a reference; an agreed plan is not a guarantee of publication or search performance.
