Local SEO

Help local customers find the right service on your website.

People in your area search for a service, compare companies and decide who to contact. Klusio helps you connect those questions with your website and business information, then prepare the next useful improvement. Follow Google performance and recorded AI mentions separately.

Is your website answering the questions local customers ask?

You may be well known through recommendations while your website explains very little about the work you do. Start with the services and locations that matter to your business, then check what a new customer can actually find.

Competitors appear more often
Find out which question and page are involved before deciding what to change.
Services and locations are disconnected
Make your real working area and relevant services easy to understand together.
A useful service question has no clear answer
Improve the page that already fits, or prepare a distinct page if something important is missing.
Paid enquiries are doing all the work
Develop your own website alongside any advertising or lead platforms you choose to use.
You do not know whether AI mentions you
Look at recorded answers to specific local questions, with their dates and sources.
Website work keeps waiting
Give research, content and profile maintenance a recurring place in the plan.

What local SEO involves

Local search engine optimisation helps people find relevant businesses in a particular area. It brings together your website, business details, service information and Google Business Profile. It is an emphasis within SEO, not a completely separate discipline.

Google describes local results in terms of relevance, distance and how well known a business is. Accurate profile information and genuine reviews can help; you cannot pay Google for a better organic local ranking. The searcher’s location also matters, so a position is not identical for everyone.

Seven foundations worth getting right

Use these as checks on the real business and website, not as a reason to manufacture locations or write near-identical town pages.

An accurate Google Business Profile
Keep the correct business identity, categories, opening hours, services and contact details current.
Consistent business details
Check the name, address and phone number where your business is genuinely listed. Do not invent a branch address.
Relevant service and location questions
Use the words customers use, and connect them to a page that answers the need.
Genuine customer reviews
Invite honest feedback and respond appropriately. A review is customer experience, not proof of every technical claim.
Useful local references
Show real projects, partnerships and relevant mentions that help someone assess your work.
A usable mobile website
Make services, evidence and contact options easy to find. Investigate speed and technical problems that obstruct the journey.
Specific local content
Explain the work you actually do in the area, with information that helps a customer make a decision.

When does a location deserve its own page?

Not every town needs a separate page. A page is useful when it offers more than a swapped place name. If the same answer already exists, strengthen that page and explain its working area instead.

A distinct customer need
There is a specific service, location or decision to explain.
Your own relevant evidence
You can include a genuine local project, branch, photo, review or practical service information.
A clear role in the website
The page fits with related services, has useful internal links and can be kept current.

How Klusio turns the research into work

The Growth Engine combines the available findings with your business priorities. A suitable action may be an article, a clearer existing page or a supported correction. Choose which work needs your approval.

Research local customer questions
Check the intent, competing results and pages your own website already has.
Prepare useful content
Use your services, experience and sources to answer the question. Avoid duplicate pages aimed at the same need.
Support your Google Business Profile
With the required connection and permissions, prepare profile work and relevant posts. Publishing follows the configured approval rules.
Record AI visibility
Inspect answers to tracked questions, with platform and date. Measurement frequency and scope depend on the plan and configuration.
Measure Google performance
Follow Search Console impressions and clicks. Keep those measures separate from enquiries and booked work.
Help visitors take the next step
The optional website assistant can answer configured questions and pass recorded enquiries to your team. It is included from Groei Pro after setup.

A local example: Prak Gevelrenovatie

Prak started with Klusio on 27 November 2025. In the later comparison from 5 July to 2 October 2026, Google Search Console recorded 1,487 clicks, compared with 273 in the same 90 days of 2025: 5.4× as many.

Klusio articles received 1,068 of those clicks and accounted for 88% of the increase. Other pages grew +53%. The number of recorded search queries rose from 935 to 4,016. These are Search Console observations, not an attributed count of leads or proof that content alone caused the change.

Keep different comparisons separate

The earlier Prak screenshot below compares December 2025 with December 2024. It shows 3,879 additional impressions and 30 additional clicks. It is not the evidence for the July–October 2026 figures above.

Other customer cases have their own periods. Hagman records 18,355 Google impressions and 143 clicks in March to May 2026. NieuwHuis records 13,607 impressions and 221 clicks from 17 January to 11 April 2026. See each complete case for its comparison and sources. None of these examples is a forecast for another business.

Dennis Hagman’s experience

Customer-reported experience, separate from the Google measurements above.

Thanks to Klusio, Hagman Timmer en Onderhoudsbedrijf has become considerably more visible online, both in Google and in AI search engines. Without this taking us much extra time, we are noticeably receiving more enquiries through the internet.

Gilbert van Asselt’s experience

Gilbert describes his experience of visibility, enquiries and ongoing support. Enquiries here are his account, not a conversion count from Search Console.

Previously, we received hardly any traffic through our website. Since we started using Klusio, our online visibility has clearly increased and we regularly receive enquiries through the website. What I also particularly appreciate is that they actively think along with us and continue to help with advice and further improvements after the start.

Local questions also matter when measuring AI visibility

Klusio’s Q3 2026 study examined 18,206 recorded answers to 1,538 questions across 35 businesses, from 1 July to 30 September 2026. In its analysis of questions without the tracked company name, the company was mentioned in 9.7% of answers to questions naming a place or region, versus 2.9% without one.

This is an observed association in that dataset. It does not show that adding a town name to a page will cause more AI mentions, or that every business has the same chance. Questions and repeated measurements were not evenly distributed. Use local and non-local questions deliberately and inspect the answer itself.

Examples of questions worth investigating

These are illustrative research starting points, not measured search volumes or promises that a page is missing. Translate them into the languages and locations your real customers use.

Roofing
Which roofer can assess a leak in Almere?
Painting
Who can quote for exterior painting in Lelystad?
Facade cleaning

Suitable for different local businesses

The questions differ by trade and service. A physiotherapy practice needs different evidence and care with health claims than a building company. Your expertise and actual working area determine the content.

Builders and roofers
Renovation choices, inspections, maintenance and relevant local projects.
Painters and window specialists
Materials, preparation, maintenance and decisions customers need to make.
Electricians and plumbers
Suitable services, practical constraints and safe next steps.

Physiotherapists and estate agents
Your specialism, professional role, location and a clear contact route.
Installers and other local SMEs
The questions that matter to your actual offer and service area.

Compare the work, not just the monthly price

From a visit to a useful conversation

Visibility is only part of the journey. A visitor still needs to understand your service, trust the information and find a suitable way to contact you. Keep your forms, phone number and response process working.

Klusio’s website assistant can answer questions using configured business information and notify your team about recorded enquiries through supported routes such as email or WhatsApp. Configure it separately and review the information it may use. A conversation is not automatically a qualified lead or a booked job.

Start with the evidence for your own website

An assessment can identify up to three useful opportunities from the information available. It can consider customer questions and missing answers, competing pages, and recorded AI visibility where available. The findings should explain their source and scope.

Share your website, business type, working area and the services you want to prioritise. An assessment is not a promise of a fixed ranking, a free article or next-business-day delivery. You can discuss the findings in English before deciding how to proceed.

Choose the working rhythm that fits

Klusio starts at €199 per month excluding VAT. Groei Pro is €399 per month and includes the website assistant after setup. Compare work rhythm, modules, guidance and monthly or annual terms. A rhythm of improvements is not a quota of new articles.

The free start offers 48 hours of access. When you choose execution, it includes up to 1 trial article; publishing needs a supported connection and your permission. The growth guarantee is available only on Groei Marktleider and Klusio Partner with Klusio running fully on autopilot. It does not apply to Groei Start, Groei Pro, self-managed execution or a workflow requiring approval before publication. The guarantee has separate measurement and refund conditions, not a promise of a top position or enquiries.

Questions and answers

Can you guarantee a top position in Google?

No. Rankings depend on the query, location, competition and Google’s systems. Klusio helps prepare and carry out suitable improvements, with measurements to review. No fixed ranking, Maps position or number of enquiries is promised.

What does the free assessment cover?

It can identify up to three opportunities from available website and search information, such as a useful customer question, an existing-page issue or a competing result. Its source and scope should be clear. It is not a full audit, guaranteed article or fixed next-day service.

Is local SEO enough to generate enquiries?

A visitor also needs a suitable offer, credible information and a working contact route. Your response and sales process matter too. Measure actual enquiries separately from Google impressions and clicks.

What does local SEO with Klusio cost?

Plans start at €199 per month excluding VAT. Groei Pro is €399 per month and includes the website assistant after setup. Scope, work rhythm, optional modules and monthly or annual terms are shown in the pricing comparison.

Can I use my existing website?

WordPress and Wix have maintained connection routes. Other systems need a compatibility check of their API, permissions and supported actions. You do not need to replace a suitable existing website merely to start local SEO work.

Do I need a page for every town?

No. Create a local page only when it answers a distinct need, has genuine local information and fits clearly within the site. If only the place name changes, improve a relevant existing page instead.

How long does local SEO take?

There is no fixed time to a particular result. Establish the baseline, record completed work and compare suitable periods. Competition, seasonality, website history and other changes affect the result. A brief trial can show the workflow, not prove long-term search growth.

How does local SEO differ from SEO in general?

It emphasises customers and businesses in a particular area, including local service information and the Google Business Profile. The technical, content and credibility foundations overlap with SEO more broadly.

Which industries can use it?

Local trades and service businesses, including builders, roofers, painters, installers, physiotherapists and estate agents. The research must reflect your real services, professional expertise and working area rather than applying one generic topic list to everyone.
