AI visibility monitoring

Does AI mention your business when customers ask?

Follow specific customer questions in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Copilot. See the recorded answer, the businesses mentioned and the available sources. Use those findings to decide what your website needs next.

A customer may see a shortlist before reaching your website

Someone asking for a good accountant in Amersfoort may receive a short list of firms rather than a page of search results. If your company is absent from that particular answer, the user may never consider it. That is a reason to investigate the question, not proof that every potential customer sees the same answer.

Search Console and advertising reports do not by themselves show whether an assistant recommends your business. Klusio records a defined set of customer questions so you can compare the answers over time. In Klusio’s study of 18,206 Dutch AI answers from 1 July to 30 September 2026, a second AI system named the same company in about one in five cases. That finding belongs to the study sample; a result from one system should not stand in for all the others.

“Who is a good accountant in Amersfoort?” A sample answer names Company A, Company B and Company C. These are placeholders, not a live recommendation.
What to inspect
Check the exact wording, platform, time, business fit and sources before deciding an omitted mention deserves action.

Open the answer behind the measurement

Choose a customer question and inspect what was actually returned. Is your business mentioned? Which competitors appear? Does the answer cite your own website, another publisher or no visible source? The product recording shows how a missing mention can lead to a proposed website improvement.

You can let the Growth Engine prepare suitable work within your agreed settings or continue yourself in the Writing Studio. A missing mention alone does not prove that you need a new article.

Understand what your customers are asking

The customer-question overview brings together available questions from Google, AI measurements and your website chat. It helps you see which questions your site already answers, which competing businesses appear and which topics fit your actual services.

Open a question to read its supporting information. You can investigate further, start writing or pass a suitable opportunity to the Growth Engine. The opportunity scores and estimated visits shown in the recording are estimates, not achieved traffic. Recorded answers and mentions for each assistant remain in AI Visibility.

Understand how AI describes your business

Being mentioned is not the same as being recommended. An answer may recommend your business, list it as one option or add a criticism. Klusio examines the passage around the business name and shows the wording, the stated reason for recommending it and possible discrepancies with your company information.

The sentiment score runs from −100 to +100: the share of mentions with a recommendation minus the share with a critical tone, with mixed assessments weighted by half. Read the actual passages behind the score. It is a classification of the measured answers, not a customer-satisfaction score or proof that the statements are correct.

Suitable follow-up may include asking customers for genuine reviews or making a service explanation more specific. The Growth Engine can prepare those steps. It cannot control how an assistant will describe you next time.

Start with a question that matters to your business

Tell us your industry, working area and main service. The form prepares a possible customer question and sends a request to Klusio for a personal follow-up. It does not run a measurement in your browser or immediately return a report. The question can be refined before the check.

There is also a separate self-service free check: it can test up to three questions in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity and show the returned answers, mentions, competitors and available citations after the measurement finishes. That four-system snapshot is different from ongoing five-platform monitoring in a Klusio account. The separate check and its report are available in English; you can also use the personal request below.

What a recorded result can tell you

This table illustrates how to read a measurement. It contains fictional outcomes, not a live check or a diagnosis of your website. A possible action first needs to be supported by the actual page, customer question and cited evidence.

AI Visibility and AMI answer different questions

AI Visibility follows a manageable set of concrete customer questions in your regular Klusio account. AMI is a separately activated service for investigating broader market, competitor and source patterns. Neither should be presented as a complete view of every AI answer.

AI Visibility
View the mention, position within the recorded answer, complete answer, competitors and available sources for a particular question. Use a relevant gap as evidence for the Growth Engine.
Klusio AMI
Compare recurring patterns across a wider market question set. Investigate repeated competitor mentions and their sources, then prepare up to three priorities with one main action and work briefs for your team.

Investigate the information a customer can verify

When a competitor appears, examine the explanation and public evidence around that answer. These eight areas can help you identify useful work. They are investigation areas, not a published formula used by every AI system or a checklist that guarantees inclusion.

Local service information
Explain where you actually work and which local needs you can meet.
Reviews and reputation
Use genuine, relevant customer experiences without inventing endorsements.
Clear service descriptions
Show what you do, who it suits and the limits of the offer.
Frequently asked questions
Answer a real missing question instead of repeating the same sales message.
Projects and photographs
Demonstrate relevant work with details and permission to use the material.
External mentions
Check relevant public references and whether their information is accurate.
Consistent business information
Resolve conflicting names, services, contact details or locations.
Customer answers
Connect the words customers use with a useful, specific explanation.

A recurring process from measurement to improvement

Keep research, proposed work, execution and later measurement connected. A changed answer is an observation to examine alongside other evidence; it does not on its own prove which website edit caused the change.

1. Follow relevant questions
Use fixed customer questions that fit the offer and target area. Preserve the question and measurement date.
2. Record the returned answer
See whether your business and competitors appear. Where available, inspect estimated question volume alongside Google search volume and the twelve-month trend. Estimates remain estimates.
3. Examine the competing information
Read the answer and available sources for that question. Broader recurring patterns can be investigated through AMI.
4. Identify a justified gap
Decide which explanation, page or piece of evidence is genuinely missing. Check existing content before proposing another page.
5. Prepare and carry out suitable work
Improve a page, refresh an article or prepare new content. Publishing requires a supported connection and your permission settings. Significant or external work remains a proposal where approval is needed.
6. Measure again
Review later answers and the actual live change. Use the findings to guide further work without claiming guaranteed causation.

Know when each system was measured

The normal schedule is every three days for ChatGPT and Perplexity, and every seven days for Gemini, Claude and Copilot. Questions that return the same result in three consecutive measurements, and systems you have not prioritised, are measured less often. Your account shows the date for each observation.

Gemini, Claude and CopilotEvery seven days.
Google AI OverviewsSeparate market measurement. An absent overview is not automatically a missed mention.

A real example: Ebbers Schilderwerken

The published Ebbers case recorded 48 mentions in the tracked AI answers during its first 90 days, across four systems. The source is Klusio’s mention tracker. The published summary does not state the exact start and end dates, so these figures are retained as a historical case, not presented as current account totals.

The breakdown helps you see why the platform matters. To decide what to improve, inspect the actual cited pages for each answer. The number of mentions does not tell you how many enquiries or jobs resulted.

One question followed over time: Choice Kozijnen

The published Choice case follows the question “Who can replace my windows in Lisse?” In April, the recorded answer did not name Choice. Work was carried out on information about costs, HR++ glass, subsidies, guarantees and installation in its service area. In the July observation, Choice appeared first in the recorded answer.

That is a dated observation for one question. It is not a permanent ranking or proof that a particular page caused the recommendation. The full case explains the evidence and its limits.

Read customer evidence with its source and period

Google impressions, Google clicks and AI mentions are different measurements. The full customer stories retain that distinction and explain the work, period and comparison. A customer’s recorded result is not a forecast for another website.

Hagman Timmer
12 AI mentions in its published first-90-day case. Google impressions increased 364% in the March to May 2026 Search Console comparison.
Ebbers Schilderwerken
48 AI mentions in the published first-90-day tracker case. The full story separates AI observations from Google results.
Prak Gevelrenovatie
13,443 additional Google impressions in the first-60-day Search Console case after 27 November 2025. Later evidence is dated separately.
NieuwHuis Makelaardij
13,607 Google impressions and a 417% increase in the 17 January to 11 April 2026 Search Console comparison. The case also explains specific recorded Google and ChatGPT appearances.

What Dennis Hagman describes

A customer account of the experience adds context to the recorded numbers. It does not replace conversion measurement or guarantee that another customer will receive the same outcome.

Thanks to Klusio, Hagman Timmer en Onderhoudsbedrijf has become considerably more visible online, both in Google and in AI search engines. Without costing us much extra time, we are receiving noticeably more enquiries online.

What Gilbert van Asselt describes

Merkenbureau Van Asselt describes the change from its own perspective. The full customer story provides the corresponding measurement context.

Previously, we received hardly any traffic through our website. Since we started using Klusio, our online visibility has clearly increased and we regularly receive enquiries through the website.

Choose a plan around the work you need

A visibility score can help start a conversation. The right plan also depends on your services, regions, available evidence, preferred approval process and the rhythm at which useful work can be carried out. Do not choose a more expensive plan solely because one answer omitted your name.

Very little coverage
First investigate service explanations, local relevance, useful answers and real project evidence. Groei Start or Groei Pro may fit a focused scope.
Some relevant coverage already
Prioritise improvements to existing pages and evidence, with recurring monitoring. Compare the scope and improvement rhythm of Groei Pro.
Several services or working areas
Discuss whether the wider scope and rhythm of Groei Marktleider fit the actual work. Avoid duplicate city pages with no independent value.

Questions and answers

Can you guarantee that ChatGPT will mention my business?

No. Answers vary with the question, location, available sources and time. Klusio can record your current position in the measured answers, compare the evidence and prepare useful improvements. A future mention or recommendation cannot be guaranteed.

What does AI visibility monitoring include?

It follows fixed customer questions in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Copilot. You can inspect the answer, a business mention, its position within that answer and available sources. Google AI Overviews is measured separately.

How often are questions checked?

Normally every three days for ChatGPT and Perplexity, and every seven days for Gemini, Claude and Copilot. Questions with the same outcome in three consecutive measurements, and systems without priority, are checked less frequently. Each measurement keeps its platform and date.

Which AI systems are included?

The standard monitor follows five platforms: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Microsoft Copilot. The separate free self-service check uses four systems. Google AI Overviews is a distinct measurement, not silently counted as a sixth or replacement standard platform.

What if Google does not show an AI Overview?

Google does not show an AI Overview for every question. Klusio keeps this as a separate market observation. An absent overview is treated as not applicable rather than automatically recorded as a missed business mention.

Do I have to write the content myself?

You can, or Klusio can prepare suitable work: a useful new article, an update, clearer connections between pages or a proposal for missing evidence. Publication requires a supported connection and follows your approval settings.

How soon will I see a result?

The first complete account measurement is available once the scheduled platform rounds finish. Later checks follow the configured rhythm. Improved visibility can take weeks or longer and is not guaranteed. Klusio shows the observed change rather than promising a fixed outcome date.

Is this suitable for a small business?

Yes. A focused set of relevant services and customer questions can provide a useful starting point. Klusio connects monitoring, comparison and suitable improvements; the business still supplies accurate knowledge and makes decisions where needed.
